Prepare and enter
Find the cavern entrance beyond Gloam Grove in the northeastern woodland. Gather there alive and out of combat, with tonics and equipment ready.
Enter solo or have the party leader open the expedition for the group. Once everyone is inside, begin at the Surveyor’s lantern. Keep the same party for the expedition.

Open the way to the guardian
Clear all 24 creatures and survey the 4 room wards. Any living companion can survey a cleared ward. Follow the deep passage beyond Wardens’ Vigil to the secluded moonwell; the leader awakens the guardian when the group is ready.
Completion
Defeating the Moonwell Guardian secures 600 XP, 90 Crowns and loot. Return outside after its defeat, then wait 60 minutes before another completed expedition. A failed attempt can be tried again.
